Appel à mentor·e·s — octobre 2026 → juin 2027.
Artistes expérimenté·e·s, curateur·rice·s et travailleur·euse·s culturel·le·s, des arts visuels, vivants, numériques / multimédia et pratiques pluridisciplinaires.

Le programme

En tant qu'artiste émergent·e, il peut être difficile de se frayer un chemin dans le secteur professionnel. Beaucoup se retrouvent dans une impasse après leurs études, et le défi est encore plus grand pour les autodidactes. Avec Pairing is Caring, nous mettons en relation un·e artiste émergent·e avec un·e artiste plus expérimenté·e ou un·e travailleur·euse culturel·le, pour échanger des connaissances sur la construction d'une carrière artistique : nouveaux contacts, subventions, rémunération, espace de travail, prochaines étapes…

Pour les mentor·e·s

Au minimum 4 rencontres sur l'année (au moins une par trimestre).
Présence au matchmaking day : 14 octobre 2026 à La Vallée (speed-dating).
Un court webinaire (1h) en septembre présentera le projet en détail.

Pour les artistes émergent·e·s

Disciplines : arts vivants, performance, arts visuels, arts numériques, multimédia et pratiques pluridisciplinaires. Comme nous ne pouvons accueillir qu'autant d'artistes qu'il y a de mentor·e·s, chacun·e doit remplir un formulaire d'inscription. La sélection se fera en fonction des mentor·e·s disponibles.

NB : priorité aux personnes les plus en besoin, avec une attention particulière pour les artistes sans papiers et les personnes issues de minorités.

Appel à la solidarité

Ceci est un appel à la solidarité dans le secteur artistique. N'étant pas subsidié·e·s, nous travaillons bénévolement ; nous demandons également d'offrir votre temps gratuitement. Un défraiement pourra éventuellement être proposé selon les fonds disponibles.

Seeking experienced artists, curators and cultural workers, from visual arts, performing arts, digital / multimedia and multidisciplinary practices.

The program

For emerging artists, finding a way into the professional field can be particularly challenging. Many hit a wall after their studies, and the challenge is even greater for self-taught artists. With Pairing is Caring, we connect an emerging artist with a more experienced artist or cultural worker, so that knowledge about building an artistic career can be shared: new contacts, grants, fair remuneration, workspace, next steps…

For mentors

At least 4 meetings over the year (at least once per trimester).
Attendance at the matchmaking day: 14 October 2026 at La Vallée (speed-dating).
A short webinar (1h) in September will present the project in more detail.

For emerging artists

Disciplines: performing arts, performance, visual arts, digital arts, multimedia and multidisciplinary practices. Since we can only welcome as many emerging artists as there are mentors, everyone fills in a registration form. Selection is based on the mentors who express interest.

NB: priority to those most in need, with particular attention to artists without papers and people from minority backgrounds.

A call for solidarity

This is a call for solidarity within the artistic sector. As we are not subsidised, we work on a voluntary basis; we also ask you to offer your time for free. We may be able to reimburse some costs depending on available partner funds.

Voor ervaren kunstenaars, curatoren en cultuurwerkers uit de beeldende kunsten, podiumkunsten, digitale / multimediakunsten en multidisciplinaire praktijken.

Het programma

Voor opkomende kunstenaars kan het bijzonder moeilijk zijn om hun weg te vinden in het professionele veld. Met Pairing is Caring koppelen we een opkomende kunstenaar aan een meer ervaren kunstenaar of cultuurwerker, zodat kennis over het opbouwen van een artistieke carrière kan worden uitgewisseld: nieuwe contacten, subsidies, verloning, ruimte, de volgende stappen…

Voor mentor·es

Minstens 4 ontmoetingen over het jaar (minstens één per trimester).
Aanwezigheid op de matchmaking-dag: 14 oktober 2026 in La Vallée (speed-dating).
In september vindt een korte webinar (1u) plaats om het project toe te lichten.

Voor opkomende kunstenaars

Disciplines: podiumkunsten, performance, beeldende kunsten, digitale kunsten, multimedia en multidisciplinaire praktijken. Omdat we slechts evenveel kunstenaars kunnen begeleiden als er mentor·es beschikbaar zijn, vragen we iedereen een inschrijfformulier in te vullen.

NB: voorrang aan diegenen met de grootste nood, met bijzondere aandacht voor kunstenaars zonder papieren en personen uit minderheidsgroepen.

Oproep tot solidariteit

Dit is een oproep tot solidariteit binnen de kunstsector. Omdat we niet gesubsidieerd zijn, werken we vrijwillig; daarom vragen we je ook je tijd gratis te geven. Een vergoeding is mogelijk afhankelijk van de beschikbare middelen.
